Wizard of oz Good News of 1939 Radio Show: DVD features review Part 22

here is part 22 of the Wizard of Oz DVD features review another radio show called Good news of Leo 1939 Show.


after listen to this radio show it was once again like I went back in time when Radio was awesome back in 1939 this edition was aired on radio 7/29/39 Program 83 with Robert Young, Judy Garland, Ray Bolger and Orchestra Meredith Wilson that info I got from somewhere around the web. the show last a hour of your time if you listen though the whole thing like I did and it was indeed worth my time listen to cast interviews and listen to music a pretty good hour for a tribute to OZ indeed listen to too if you can on this great Wizard of Oz DVD. rating and video will be posted below and in the end Good news of 1939 radio was a good show and do note Judy Garland does sing her classic Somewhere over The rainbow song  too on this one.

part 21 of this great DVD features reviews go on with a review of the Lux Radio Theater Broadcast Wizard of Oz.


must say this was neat to listen to felt like I went back in time to 12/25/1950 which was the day this aired on the radio what even more great Judy garland did the voice of Dorothy for this as for the others it was unknown who played the other parts but they did sound funny too like when they meet the tin man when he asked for the oil can  sound like he was taking a dump which was funny this theater radio broadcast last only a hour with a few breaks that good time for Wizard of oz play but note they did skip a few parts because they had a hour but they did add a few new stuff which was cool it was indeed worth the time listen to Lux Radio Theater Broadcast Wizard of Oz and again having Judy there as well made this more awesome check out this awesome Radio Theater Broadcast below you will like it as I did maybe.

in this next review will be taking a look at the Stills Galleries that have been added as well to this great DVD boxset lets get this review underway shell we.



after looking at most of all Stills Galleries this is indeed awesome feature great stills and pictures they indeed very rare too look at if you get a chance take a look at them I think you like it  to see them as much as did Costume and makeup was cool to see with the cast in there makeup and also Judy garland in wigs that look like Alice in wonderland too me and other shots show more amazing shots from this great feature there is a lot of stills enough to watch for a whole  there will be no video below so will give you the list of Still Galleries you will see along with how long each are also note there is no play all you must pick one to look at here the list as follow

Wizard of Oz 1998 Trailer: DVD features review part 19

its Sunday and this is the last trailer review of the wizard of oz its been fun looking at all the trailers within the last week and review  them but after tonight we are moving on to the next features of this great boxset to review so lets get this review underway shell we.

 this trailer was release back in 1998 as a re-issue trailer for the movie back in theaters with sound and picture upgrade it was indeed a great well put together trailer to get you to go see it in theaters I remember see it on TV back in the days but never got a chance to see it in theaters  but I did see it on dvd or VHS years later after this trailer came out trailer does give any some spoilers too but that what most trailers do right this one starts with the words the house being to pitch and from there it took off great not much more to say so lets go down to my final thoughts.

nothing wrong with the trailer that I would change also there is a 3D trailer as well but as I of now Have no plans to review it maybe later on unsure check out this great trailer as we come to a close for review  trailers of Wizard of Oz.

Wizard of Oz 1970 Trailer: DVD features review part 18

as we keep rolling though the trailers of wizard of oz on DVD features after this review will be the final Trailer review  on Sunday before we head to the next section of this great Wizard of Oz Boxset so lets get on to the next trailer review.

this next one was a Re-issue trailer for the Wizard of oz for the Children  that was release in 1970 it was a Matinee  Children  Trailer it was pretty much build for that very well done but can of goofing with the guy voice but trailer pretty much did a good job showing the younger children and kids what this movie will be about and there one part of the trailer that kind of goofing is the part where he says a  wizard that whizzes that can of had me laughing if you know what I mean the way he said  it  sounds funny and odd otherwise it is a good clean trailer for kids hopefully this trailer is still watch bye kids and children today to get them ready to watch the movie this was ok trailer to me .

final thoughts

if there one thing that Could of left out it was the wizard that was whizzes but that me watch below the trailer and see if sounds goofing or not.

for the 17th part of features review of this great Wizard of Oz boxset will be review the 2nd Re-issue Trailer of the Wizard of Oz.


Its Friday again hope everybody Friday is going well as my is and what a way to start off this weekend with my review of another trailer for the Wizard of oz.  after see this one it was very interesting with the way they made this with a colorful marketing of showing cartoon pictures of the cast without saying who they are  playing just there names and who they are its also one of trailer to try to get you go see it  like if your fighting with the one you love go see this movie to solve the problem which I like how they did with that I am sure this movie help cure many problems bye see it. I must say this is another well done trailer with colors and words on it and everything else is  good for Grownup trailer for the Re-issue Wizard of Oz back in 1949.

for this trailer its shows you shots of the movie and a few never see before shots that never made it in this was Reissue trailer after they bring back in 1949 bye popular demand which is we can see why now it is a very good trailer this movie does have lots of great trailers and its hard pick one out of all them to like one what I also like about this amazing Trailer is it shows you who plays who and its goes like this Dorothy is Judy Garland, the Scarecrow is Ray Bolger, the Tin man is Jack Haley and the lion is Bert Lahr with pictures of them with today trailers you indeed don't see much of that so below watch this classic trailer below it is indeed another awesome trailer to have on this amazing boxset.

this my review of the 1940 Trailer of The Wizard of Oz



after watching the Trailer must say it another good trailer it also look like a TV show intro with the words as who stars in this like Judy garland as Dorothy and others names pop up on screen but that just me. its not a bad trailer it very cool you got Judy singing her classic somewhere over the rainbow in it along with the other cast with there  makeup tests and this shots from the not finish shots of the movie after watching it is pretty neat trailer and well done too watch below to see this amazing trailer and I will be back Thursday with another great trailer review from Wizard of Oz Movie .

I must say after watching it is a Outstanding Teaser trailer not a long one but it is a very pretty with splash effects pop up on the screen with the words What Is Oz? It sure is something that this lead to the 1939 movie called the Wizard of Oz and also this trailer is over 70 years my guess 74 or 75 that my guess unsure if it right. take a look below of this amazing teaser trailer below its only 21 seconds but it is indeed cool and Will be back with you for the next trailer review on Wednesday or Thursday Sometime.

on to the last blog and deleted scene review for the reviews for tonight  so lets get on to the final review of the outtakes and deleted scenes of the Wizard Of Oz.


in this next Scene is one of fav deleted scene of the DVD boxset it the one where we see the scarecrow if I only had A brain Deleted scene must say its the most funny and goofing dance I even see it made me laugh some got to hand it ray he did great as the scarecrow it is indeed a neat deleted scene with the way he went up in the air and dance fast it too bad this didn't make it in sure
it would of got good laughs if you have not see this indeed watch It  a must see and trust me you have a good laugh as I did this is indeed amazing footage well that it for now good night everybody.

some test shots of Dorothy Leading A parade to the Emerald City Holding the witches broom due note that is not judy garland in the middle shots  someone else is playing her in the test shots also in the background you can hear guard start to sing ding dong the witch is dead which lead to everybody start to sing the song its not long but cool to see as part of this great wizard of oz dvd.

in this next review will be the review the deleted scene of if I only had a heart played bye buddy ebsen as tinman for short time.


buddy Ebsen was going to be the tinman in the movie but left because of health problems due to the costume of the tinman in the deleted scene they show shots of him as the tinman with him singing in the background song is if I only had a heart also in one of the shots you can see Judy new look for hair can of funny if you ask me. very good  picture shots it was If he didn't sick worder what it would be like if he played the tinman below is video of him playing the tinman in the wizard of oz.

in this next blog I will be write about this next scene that was remove from the movie the wizard of of oz  it was more of a funny and goofing scene where the witch send out some bug or something to cause the gang to dance and I must say from looking at they were good at dancing even though the scene was can of goofing and good can of shame it was pulled but if you go to a school play or others plays of wizard of oz this will still be in them so its is  still popular even though it didn't make it in the movie which is cool look below for the scene that never made it into the movie.

its part 9 of the reviews of the Wizard of Oz Dvd Features review and today we take a look at this deleted scene or outtake that was never in the movie it the one where she was locked the witch castle and sing somewhere over the rainbow whole crying it is very sad that this was not in the movie because again it would showed you how great Judy was singing this song happy or sad it was a good deleted scene for this dvd box set check out below for my rating and video of the deleted scene below due note it is a very sad version of somewhere over the rainbow.

The Wizard of Oz - Original Tornado Tests: DVD feature review part 8

on to  disc 2 now figure I would start it with the look of dvd feature called it's a Twister! It's a Twister the Tornado tests so lets take a look of what we have on this one.


its host bye the Angela Lansbury as she takes you though some of the tests of the Tornado scenes and its start off with the clouds after Dorothy sings over the rainbow then shows you some amazing and mean amazing 8 mins footage of effects and test of the Tornado from the wizard of oz it look so good it was almost real to me also you never before see of house falling down and also footage of deleted scenes from Dorothy window this indeed is a great feature added to this amazing DVD and also great effects for a 1939 film you won't see Tornados scenes like this in today movies much. well this ends tonight dvd features review of wizard of oz DVD hope everybody has a good rest of your V-day.

its pretty much the book of the wonderful wizard of oz with storybook pictures and told bye Angela Lansbury it a good 10 min film she did a great job reading it very cool to have this as a bonus of the Wizard Of Oz DvD boxset a must see for every fan of oz.
