Gidget (1959) Movie Review

My Review

First of all nice intro with music not too long one bye so what is this movie like not sure another first for me will I like it we see.

This should be titled Gidget goes to beach because it starts off with her and her friends she seem like a odd character who doesn’t fit in with group see that before many times beach Scenes was not good for her she was bullying my guess reason why she young my guess 15 or 16 younger that my guess she does seem a little annoyed as well but not a bad character I guess for her to get her popular level started she got to get a Surfboard and learn how too since her first time didn’t go well wonder who will help her on out surfing is question my guess some nice lad will step and help her out then she turn into surfing hero of the big beach that just a guess.

So was I right about plot sort of she wasn’t so popular in first half but once you get far into movie it slowing starts happen and I was right she was 16 years old there is a song that played that fits movie in well song is called Gidget nice song bye the way well she slowing learning how to Surf by her self some help from guy she likes yes there some romance figure there would be because most movies in 1950’s has that some as long as story stay good I don’t mind pretty much when they are surfing there might be a green screen or fake water behind them not sure could be wrong sure look like that ok.

Again gidget seems to be annoyed some she don’t get wants she She begs to get her way all the time for most of movie it does not bug me but could of less calm down on that a little bit otherwise I find the character not bad.

So later she gets into a odd fight with her parents over boy not picking her up and paying cash to get into party was sort of funny and pointless proves what dating was like back in the days some .

At the dance she gets her very first kiss but after that sort of Fell apart and boy things heat up as her Parents show up at party looking for her then she runs a later cops look for her and they find her.

So let’s get to ending or last 15 mins was ok everything turn out good not a bad movie but not best movie either.

Well it was alright some teenage drama some but acting was very good though it was a good movie for a old one not my favorite as well but Gidget is indeed worth checking out if you like old movies.

I give Gidget (1959) a rating of 6.5 out of 10

My Review

I see lots of great reviews for this old movie and some say it is good so figure to watch and see what I think of this 1931 movie classic.

Well from what I heard it is based on a play in New York but too me seem like a movie type more then a play first of all they do have a nice few moments of intro of list of cast for this one names again I never heard of opening is children singing a song then after that we go to Woman talking or Gossipy about kids and stuff one heck of way to open too me they seem grumpy about life this is a drama movie so that how it opened but that way it keeps going wonder if this will be the movie everybody talking about what going on for first 15 mins so far yes it is a little funny see them angry and drama stuff will we see what happen Beyond the apartments or not too me look like they are staying in apartments and not going anywhere else which is odd so think we pretty much stuck with everybody talking which is ok too me because I know topics will lead to something for ending that what interesting to me is what this movie brings in the final 15-20 mins and wonder how it will end.

Well most of movie was them forcing on apartment talk which I find interesting how they film most of movie there with most of it Drama for a plot of movie but they do keep it fresh with new characters showing up though to keep good acting was pretty good as well not bad for a 1931 movie so with 57 mins it is next day everybody is getting there house chores done or waking up this is day of gossip to me Mrs. Jones is the one who sounds grumpy she just seem hate everybody they sure made this character annoying some.

Last 25 mins there was a shooting rose mom and they film reaction very good everybody in Neighborhood was like holy cow good camera angles there that for sure my guess this how last 15-20 mins will go talking about what happen in that apartment so what did I think of last 15 mins well pretty much everybody was talking about shooting and they got him at the end and everybody was talking about so what was last 5 mins of movie liked pretty much force on rose leaving and saying goodbye some and it ended with her leaving and kids playing almost the same way movie opened ending which was ok too me.

So was this a good film interesting plot with topics just from apartment in front they did some street shots but it stay force on apartment front door where drama went down so movie started with that and pretty much ending that way as this was not a bad movie at all not my favorite though but worth checking it out that is for sure.

I give Street scene (1931) a rating of 6/10 for good

Glen or Glenda (1953) movie Review

My Review

Now I know this not a horror movie but Bela Lugosi makes it feel that way at start of the film that for sure after that movie starts so let’s see I think of story of a dude wanting to be a girl and man or wants a sex change this will be interesting movie too me because I am not into movies like this one.

First of all again nice to see Bela Lugosi but why the heck is he even in this not horror movie but with effects they make you think it is very weird to see him in this I go what the.

As for movie plot it again about guy wearing women clothes and that how movie starts with him dress up as woman and everybody is talking about it only problem is he is going to get married to Barbara but has not tell her his secret that he wants to be a women too I worder how she reaction to his little secret my guess she would dump him not sure that’s only thing interesting about this one other wise it pretty much a boring film some it is only a hour and 8 mins long as movie goes on things do get weird though I wasn’t sure what the heck was going on with Bela Lugosi my guess they needed something to take a break from plot many times to give the crowd a rest then get back to story or plot not sure but this movie had some moments like where the heck is going and in the end he does tell her and so what her reaction.

I was wrong she said maybe we can talk about and work it out as she hand him shirt so does movie end there no they go to another story for the remind time of some guy name Alan who doing girl stuff dressing like women so they talk about him getting a sex change we do see Barbara and glen at ended talking asking for advice on if he should be wearing woman clothes or not and everything and movie ending just as how it started with Bela Lugosi a most odd ending to a very Weird movie.

Now I know where they got idea of seed of Chucky to name his kid this silly movie again this was one of very weird movie I even Bela Lugosi made it a little fun but not sure what his point in movie was for this one I think I never watch again that for sure.

I give Glen or Glenda (1953) a rating of 4/10 for what the heck

Titanic (1953) Movie review

My Review 

This is very first Titanic movie that was released in 1953 no rose and Jack so figure I take a look and see what I think of it. 

Like old movies they need a few seconds for opening but then started well have to say Costumes look very good and story was good in first half not much build up I was wonder what it going to be like when goes down how will the effects boy should be something but before that there is a story of 2 Divorced people fight over the kids wonder how that will come into play when ship goes down Disasters can bring people together or back as I see it happen they do a good job building up some story’s there is a small love story but not much though there is a Character that does remind of Jack and also rose as well  ship does not started going down unit 1 hour 13 mins is when it starts which I been waiting for. 

So how did they play it out for me was not looking for anything too huge because this is 1953 movie and stuff yeah was a little slow but that ending was just sad was tough to watch not much but will say this sad ending for a low money making movie. 

Well have to say this was good not best but good story and that ending was indeed tough to watch pretty good acting as well so not a bad first titanic movie of well more to come down the line is all I have to say for this Sunday movie review. 

I give titanic (1953) a rating of 6/10 for good

And Then There Were None (1945) Movie review

My Review

This week review is another mystery but a odd one unlike the other ones I see this one is about 10 strangers invited to a island at first that sounds fun but when host doesn’t show up and some of them are started to die this movie feels like clue movie I see with the only way to survive the week so movie shows many of drop like flies just like the movie clue they do a good job building up on who killer is with guest started to die in mysterious ways music mix in well with moments as well acting does a great job too cast was great in this one as well so it was tough one to figure out who killer is even though all them seem nice people could it be Butler was acting odd and everybody point fingers at him so he could be involved but maybe not killer not sure judge possible again that what made story interesting unit the end where you don’t know who killer is but as you go though the movie clues are drop and so after all the clues and interesting music what did I think of ending there was a twist that must of characters had a crime past which is something but the ending was can of odd but pretty much know it was him but it was a odd twist there so little snake was the one that did well will say got this one wrong but should of know that person that was behind this not a bad ending though with driver said ready to leave I would be after going though all that only 2 left the mystery house so must say this was interesting mystery movie it was good.

For old movies like this you get some of best mystery movies for 1945 it hold up good years later after this we got another great movie clue this one had you up and downs on who killer was but that ending was Shocking never thought he would be behind it writers did good though his story as well this movie was written they fool me at the end that for sure that way classes mystery movies should be a very good movie hats off to writers and cast and director as well for this great movie.

I give Then there were none (1945) a rating of 8/10 for great.
