Gremlins 1984 Movie Review

welcome again to another movie review part of 80's movie reviews where I review it rather it bad or good and this week just like last week will be review another Classic movie in my view called Gremlins. spoilers below is possible

note:
before we started this indeed another one of  favorite movies I remember watching it on thanksgiving 1984 for the first time right after we eat thanksgiving dinner from there when I see gremlins was indeed scary some heck there Monsters can scare you easy back there but after that just loved the movie since then and I am happy to review it  here in 2016 now one of my childhood  favorite movies Gremlins which came out in June of 1984.

Story
the story is about a guy that goes to the Chinese shop and buys a Mogwai name gizmo for his son for Christmas which turn out to be cute first but if he does not follow the rules bad things can happen.

rules
1.do not get them wet
2. do not feed them after midnight
3. and keep them out of sunlight

movie thoughts
this too me is one of best movie I ever see it is set up great funny as well it takes place around Christmas too which is neat. sure is something in this movie how one cute mogwai gets wet and turns  thanks to Corey feldman who is good in this one. this movie has everything scary moments and scary looking gremlins.

awesome moments
to me the awesome moments after Gizmo get wet then multiply the scene was awesome the way it was set up was great also like how the new group is just mean to Gizmo and not nice to him that a great set up in the movie also like cocoons they turn into after midnight they were ugly things but pretty cool looking cocoons. last but least for awesome moments is when gremlin jump into the pool and then he starts multiplying you can hear gremlins sounds become more and more as more are multiplying and water makes pop noise like a bubble pretty cool scene and still my Favorite today.


Acting thoughts
the acting was great in this movie had no problems with it at all in the movie also Howie Mandel was great as the Voice of Gizmo.

Funny moments
the one where Mrs. Deagle's chair goes flying though the window. also bar part where Gremlins drinking beer and play cards and another is billy dad inventions failing and I mean they did fail funny that was last but least the Gremlins watching Snow White in movie theaters guess you can say they are fans of Snow White.


Scary parts
mail box Gremlin was can of scary moment also Christmas tree Gremlin attacking mom was another scary moment and looks of gremlins can scare you too.snow plow going though house was scary and had you on edge of seat.


Music
music in the movie was awesome fits in well with scenes in the movie also theme of the movie is pretty awesome as well.


my final thoughts
Gremlins to me will be forever part of as 1 of  favorite movie of all time and it is a great you should check out this classic if you had not because you will indeed like it.

Extra bonus
I almost forgot to tell you who my favorite Gremlin of all time in here and he is Spike because he has cool spike hair and is leader of group and also very very mean.

The neverending story 1984 movie review

Welcome to another movie review and this week's movie review is the NeverEnding Story one of my favorite films of all time note spoilers below.

I really like the way this movie starts off with that beautiful clouds and the music just fits in well very great way to start the NeverEnding Story with that beautiful intro

The Neverending Story movie was part of my childhood back in the days I was only seven or six years old when this movie came out in 1984 I didn't get to see it until I was seven years old before after that I fell in love with this because it was so good so enjoy this movie review by me because I'm going to have fun with this one.

Story
The story is pretty much around Bastian who lost his mom and lives with his dad and it's going through a tough time with  bullies then whole running away from them he  runs into a bookstore with a mysterious old man who runs it and find the book called The NeverEnding Story he takes that book and goes to school and skip school to read the book of The NeverEnding Story which is about Fantasia being in trouble because of the nothing is destroying it and childlike empress is very ill and so they hire Atreyu save them from the nothing and find a cure for the childlike empress the story of this movie had me at edge of my seat the whole time it was indeed a great story sure the book is too hope to read it sometime.

music: music in this was great it fit in very well with most of movie it was indeed great music.

effects. it was indeed awesome in this one enjoy it a lot as a kid and now as a adult.

characters and acting thoughts  this is a new thing I will be doing now first I will write the characters name then write who play them on the side and then give you my thoughts.


 Bastian/  Barret Oliver- he was very good as Bastian he acting was great enjoy it I did

 Atreyu/Noah Hathaway- Atreyu was one of   favorite character in the movie who was played Noah Hathaway who was awesome as Atreyu in this in my view thumbs to Noah as Atreyu

Childlike Empress/  Tami Stronach - her performance as childlike empress was amazing and outstanding as well in this movie  we didn't get her to see her unit the end but now we know why she was my favorite growing up and still is today and childlike empress was another one my
favorite as well in the movie.

most scary character is gmork who give anybody nightmares back then me as well back in 80's as a kid now no but he still a creepy wolf everytime I watch it.


Magic Mirror Gate guess. you see Atreyu look in Magic Mirror gate and he see the one who reading the book  Bastian now this took me years for some reason to figure why unsure but it could point out this and  reveals that Atreyu and Bastian are the same person that my guess if you look at early scenes they almost do the same thing with each other that pretty my guess do call me crazy if you like.




Final thoughts
well pretty much we came to the end of this fun review of the neverending story this movie  in my view will go down in history as indeed a classic to me and will be forever be part of childhood forever indeed it is indeed movie I was indeed lucky growing up in the 80's with this one check it out sometime if you have not because I think you will indeed like it
