Time warp (1981) Movie Review

My Movie 🍿 review

Have to say intro of movie was a little chessy so I was probably expecting the movie to be that way as well Batman is in this well not Batman the guy who played him Adam West is in it can of odd see him in another role lol first 10 mins is boring even the acting is just bad where is astronaut all they clips of his ship not him funny part is when camera zoom in on there face they look like why I did sign up for this movie.

Pretty much the whole 20 mins or so he in space acting goofing as heck I was wonder if he even hit this time warp and come to earth soon or will they drag this though the whole movie with him just being up there.

Well at 30 min mark on his way home he hits the time warp about time so he wakes up and computer says he lost 2 days and when he try to call for help not he lands on earth but not at station but in middle of desert oh by the way computer name is mud can of silly name there so now no can see him sort of like twilight zone stuff.

Will say it was a little funny he ride with old people with crazy bird who the only who hear him while others can’t since he is trap in time warp where no can see him at this time but animals so pretty much he like a ghost to everybody who can’t see him sort of nice story but what the point.

Well later mark son has a bird so he ends up talking though the bird to his family can of sad though he can’t get talk to them or be with them only way he can get back or not will go though time warp yet again but would be a risk.

So I was hope something big happens here near the end as this movie is boring so doing something huge and great would save too me maybe a happy ending

So he gets on ship safe after his wife distract Batman or Adam west lol and so mark goes though time warp but his robot friend does not make but he made it home and that would of like to see him reunite with his wife and son but that ok it was not bad ending but could of been better movie though.

Not big ended I wanted but least it ending in good not worst way have to say this movie was can of boring for acting even Adam West could not save though will say story was interesting but still had a few plot holes in it but in the end not going to say it the worst but also not best either.

I give time Warp (1981) a 5/10

Alice in wonderland (1931) Movie Review

My Review

After last week review of 1915 version figure I take a look at 1931 of Alice in wonderland so looking forward to watching this and see if it is good or not.

Well in this one Alice the one who play look to be a little old and her voice sounds out of place I wonder how old Ruth was by the Ruth Gilbert is one playing Alice will say camera effects are very odd like someone on drugs or something also story starts with Alice in wonderland no how she got there this time very odd there. But ok.

Looking at costumes look like someone quick by them from Walmart or a shop not sure in 1931 there was a Walmart around doubt it whoever made them should of done better though anyway so how did they do on story even though did not start well they did ok not best 20 mins in Alice voice is still odd but I give Ruth some credit though I am sure there been older versions of Alice in years to come after also least they got tea party with mad hatter the guy playing him plays the part just right and look like right age.

After tea party Alice meets the a familiar character of wonderland she goes meet the queen of harts played Via Quinn who played her well maybe there some hope for this one yet then Alice goes see turtle and bird there will say the guy playing Turtle acting was a little chessy not bad wonder if. Lobsters show up doubt it but guy playing bird sounds like a kid more lobsters did not sure as they head to court for again case of stolen queen tarts is that food tarts or maybe her treasure have to read more into that of story tarts do turn out to be some can of food it’s was funny Alice was mocking them before it starts can of laugh even though think the one playing Alice is a little odd though. So must of characters was up there then it was Alice turn she blames it on guard but was it guard who did it but as story it will probably end with her getting blame and waking up not sure in this version as it start off with her not in real world and wonderland.

But rabbit came out and said it was him Alice took the blame and everybody went after and it got a little weird with effects but they did show her get home to end the film very weird version I say.

Well this one gets my vote as weird one yet create in 1931 only 52 mins they could of least added on how she got to wonderland and Alice Ruth was ok after all not going trash her characters was not as good though not going to find much in this one but will not crap on this old old movie.

My Review

Note this not full movie as there lost footage so will be reviewing the full 59 mins of film hopefully one day they will find full version so let see what this footage has from 1915 which way over 100 years.

Must say for music for silent film was ok I like it a lot first few mins see a cat in tree and a rabbit that hint what to come later then you can see Alice and her sister look for a place for a Picnic and later Alice does fall a sleep and music gets creepy and weird then huge rabbit appears and most of who know this tale what happen next she falls down rabbit hole do say music is entertaining whole this is going down but this is a old old movie acting is pretty good for a silent movie the one playing Alice is Viola Savoy look she fit though small door crying and not eat the cake that says eat me in must tales of this version see that but ok she cried and got small and fit though it so she get to garden where creepy animals are caterpillar and duck I think they are played some of flim does freeze up I watch this on YouTube wonder if that them no think it film because it is over 100 years so after a few seconds get back to story.

Then we see animals getting ready to race but a note come up saying missing footage the animals have a caucus - race after running, there is no winner.

Then again say missing footage with a note Alice is chosen to give the presents, and gives a comfit to each animal. The Dodo takes a thimble from her.

After that more footage is of her all alone all animals left look like as she meets up with rabbit again to his house now in tales I read she grows tall and everybody panic well the footage was missing but footage that missing says Alice changes sizes and become trapped in the house they do show a small picture of Alice before heading back to film showing rabbit climb the ladder missing footage said Alice gets back to size and gets out.

So far see lots of missing footage but they still show you some scenes again hope one day someone finds them footage would be cool to see full movie some day.

Anyway wonder if I get see queen of hearts or cards before ending here not yet see 2 ugly woman costumes very disturbing looking by the way thought that was queen but was not and baby Alice carry was a pig that was odd.

The one character does show up is mad hatter or and Alice goes to tea party but didn’t go well as see left it good the mad hatter or tea party footage was not missing.

After that Alice shows up at queen of heart place and they do show red queen human no creepy suit by the way and she still same as story rude off with there head as see cat in the sky funny she hates that cat.

There was a turtle that almost look like a dog there was weird looking along with a bird as well indeed people in there I bet.

Have to say again who ever added music added it well too me then it gets more creepy with 2 big huge lobsters coming to the land yes humans are under there as you see them walk like humans and have odd pants on. Good thing they won’t attack Alice here.

Then it goes to trial of who stole queen of harts tarts pretty much all characters we see early show and are on trial then next witness is Alice and this where everybody gets mad as card fly in the air Alice sister wakes her up so it was dream the whole time as her and sister leave the end.

Well have to say some parts was missing if it was not could of been longer the 59 mins but again good silent film and hope one day again they will find the last footage if not least I get to see this old old film of Alice in wonderland and will say Viola was great as Alice.

Note I just read as write this 52 mins and movie was over 2 hours long but due to missing footage was cut down a lot but I found that interesting for a 1915 movie like this but will say I did enjoy watching this that for sure.

Ghostbusters (1984) Movie Review

My Review

For Ghostbusters day here and me watching this movie many times during the strike here figure will review Ghostbusters again so here we go and happy Ghostbusters day to everyone who loves this movie as I do.

First of all the intro soundtrack was indeed awesome and very cool and liberty movie scene was done very well for camera angles it was well done as well even art was use for top of building I think at start which was cool too was very nice as well also characters are very good in this one bill as Peter is must funny guy yet his role makes me laugh when he around woman pretty one he ties to hit on them is funny as well at start he doesn’t look like he in to ghosts as well like a non believer after they go to library and get scared pretty much there Peter believe in my View bill was great comedy some of his best work in this which made this movie special thanks Bill for making me laugh.

Also what good about this is soundtrack has a lot of good songs ghostbusters song is still age good here in 2023 along with other I heard lots of great songs in this one that fit well like you do you believe in magic and saving the day 2 of my favorite songs as well they were put in at the right time as well that when you know things are going to start heating up with the big rival at the end there good build up by added them 2 songs in movie they mean a lot to me and movie as well just want to throw that out.

As for egon played by Harold Ramis it is still sad he not with us anymore but his spirit is still alive as you watch him in ghostbusters his character not going to lie one of best characters of all time in this one he nailed Egon as well also him and Dan write plot for the movie as well so both was big part of this movie cast and writers as well which Is a amazing so would say thank you too both being a part of this great movie as well as to Harold Ramis you are indeed miss here in 2023.

And to rest of crew thank you as well for making this movie though the years great and for years to come it will age well thanks again.

So last thing I want to get out is oh wait this is spoiler ending so just warning but no need too must see this movie by now.

Ok now I got that out of way was Gozer, terror dogs and stay puft still scary here in 2023 still can of but terror dogs are more scary then anything they did one heck of job making them look scary as well in fact they made villains of movie look great as well so heads up to effect team and makeup crew as well for well making all 3 great for big ending which will still be talk about for years I am sure lots are still talking about that huge stay puft man here in 2023 that for sure.

To close this out again will like to say thank you to cast and crew as well also director Ivan Reitman as well who passed away last year sadly but he did the voice of Zuul deep voice as well which is cool he is indeed sadly miss as well.

Hope you like this review for Ghostbusters on the release date many years I am going to hop off and go re watch it many times as I can this one movie that I will never get tired of watching that for sure so    too everybody have a great rest of your ghostbusters day.

The Hunter (1980) Movie Review

Bounty hunter Papa Thorson is receiving Death threats from a criminal he helped put away. This while his girlfriend is about to give birth, and even he isn’t looking forward to.

My Review

Well after watching the hunter movie again have to say it was not best written movie but more of drama movie with him being worried about his pregnant girlfriend who will be giving birth soon as he Hunt down the bad guys he is a bounty hunter by the way and boy he sure can fight I am sure they use lots of body doubles in this due to Steve having cancer you can tell he has problems hold up in some movie scenes but least he had a enough to do this one was his last film which was something in my view this proves he was a great actor as well.

Well at start he arrest the black guy name Tommy so papa takes him pretty much first 10 mins nothing happen too much but around 14-15 mark he starts to fight a big guy huge it was good fight didn’t last too long though but boy he was big tall guy but papa win and took him and Tommy to police station.

Then after as he was pulling in a odd dude was watch him in a van for some reason very odd then that where pregnant Dotty comes in played by Kathryn Harrold now I have not see a lot of her movies too much but have heard she was in a few top films back then so that why they sign and will say they did a great job making her pregnant as well she was beautiful as well in this one that for sure.

After that movie can of slow down again but he does get some threat that probably the guy in van who almost shot him but waited better watch out for him he out for revenge funny part he goes to labor and birth class and you can tell he does not want to be there as soon as goes out of town crazy man goes after dotty at the school and send her a scary message he is one crazy dude pretty scary.

Then it goes to a shot of papa getting almost blow up and run over papa chase after them with a huge tractor it was funny because it backfired on them as they got blow up but in next scene they show them all bandaid up some how they survive that is something must would not.

His mood then changes after see Pete they do a drink a lot after that he yelled at everybody to leave they did and dotty and him get into fight over the baby that will soon come so he leaves as she cries good acting there he try to patch things up with her later but does not work as he leaves again wonder if his future is with and the baby not bad writing there.

Then after that he heads to Chicago where pretty much though the town he goes after the guy he after on top on building jump then subway or train where bad guy threat to kill a kid pretty long subway fight too I almost thought they would take up the whole movie but did not pretty good battle papa was almost killed many times did they overdue it too much well little bit but it was a good chase this May of been papa tough challenge yet of the movie then it not over yet as guy goes into a huge parking lot that goes up god this guy never quits the battle did end as guy run off parking lot and into lake.

Well just when he think he can come home and try to patch things up with Dotty this where he finds out Tommy was knock crazy guy too dirty to the school and so he went there and see her tie up she making noises bet baby is coming that what I think he was lucky a cop came there so he can get out quick lucky the guy was dumb papa set him as he got blow up in chemistry lab what a fool.

Then after that last 5 mins was funny as baby was coming she said she  feel it and he goes like breath I was like dude let her have the baby it is coming now but will say that funny they get to hospital as he was telling the nurse she having the baby now and pass out but smell sauce woke him in time to see his new baby as final scene of Steve McQueen movie career came to a sad close with him as papa holding baby and saying god bliss even I tear up after that months later he passed away beautiful ended there to a great actor career.

The Hunter was a good movie not best though but what made this one was acting from Steve McQueen finale movie there did have a lot a action scenes and that ending when dotty giving birth her acting was so good it almost like she was giving birth in real life no it was but it look real I will say.

Well to close out this review will say this I did not see too many Steve McQueen movies there was a few I did like him in the 1957 blob was good along with my favorite movie along with the Towering Inferno as well I hope to find and see more of his movies and review right and Steve you are indeed miss and May you rest In peace.
