My Review

I remember going to see this movie years ago in theaters so now to end my movie reviews for 2023 closing it out with this one called Pixels see what I think about years later right below been a while since I see this as well.

If there any movies that close to 80’s vibes would be this one as intro is in 80’s font video games type very cool pretty colors too don’t see much of that in today movies that for sure anyway it starts off with kids playing arcade and one kid is in love with a video game character then it goes to arcade tournament which came down to Sam vs Eddie and final game was donkey Kong a old time classic by the way for most of us 80’s kids who grow up in that era this was movie for me because if it’s a good 80’s movie video type will indeed watch anyway Eddie win beating Sam and ever since he feels down losing though the rest of his life.

So far he worked for a nerd company fixing stuff or set up never heard of it much so he goes set up a tv and hook for a kid and then he meets his hot mom who just broken up with her husband so then he try to hit on her for some reason bad idea didn’t work out maybe later though.

Meanwhile it has started 80’s video game characters have come to attack earth now it up to Sam and gang to try to stop so Sam runs into kid who in love with hot video character woman yes he still in love with her and then tells Sam Ailens send 80’s video type characters to attack earth very strange I thought at first but effects look so cool they look so real like this was a real attack I guess if you shot them they turn into giant cubs this is pretty cool again CGI does look good and what something you not sure which video game characters from 80’s show up to attack earth so Sam the video game master is the only hope so next battle is in London, England which will be the next attack.

So they all head to England to try and stop the attack which is centipede game so Sam goes right after them and boy he got but he going to need more help as level 2 will be tough up to mud or wonder kid to go after them and help and he does they add a nice 80’s tune to make this fight even cool it was cool centipede was tough but in the end sam beat him so score is Earth 1 and ailens 2 1 more lost they warn them next lost they lose so they going to need more help so they must get Eddie help next to beat the most popular video game character pac man and they also bring in guy who create pac man as and it was real toru how cool is that but he try to talk pac but he get his hand bite I guess pac man is bad in this one pac man battle here is cool Eddie pretty much kill him twice the goal is kill him 3 times just like the game and it is over and Sam who was lucky ended so game over and it now 2-2.

Wonder kid finds a video game character that may help them beat the aliens even more hopefully Vern is name I think and also sam and violet are getting along with each other two at party.

Then ailens come on saying they broke the rules and now earth will end and worst news is violet son they got now it on.

The big battle is now they sending every 80’s video game character to attack earth and now wonder kid see his woman he love in lady Lisa who attacks him at first then he talks to her and saying he loves her and kiss him guess she turn good now.

And rest of crew go on spaceship too take on head boss which is donkey Kong pretty cool battle there and they win in a great battle Donkey Kong look great too but lady Lisa like other characters died but she comes back later as Vern character turns into her can of odd but ok then and it ended very odd but funny as well nice happy ended would of like to know what will be next for Sam though.

A lot of people do not like this movie but I do like it every character look cool a lot of game characters from my past was in too trust me you never see a good video game characters from 80’s movies again least I don’t think there be another one like this again so was good Adam Sandler movie as well just like his movies so what was best battle too me I pac man battle it was funny see pac man try to go after everybody that was fun to watch and other battles was good too great movie this was CGI look great too and most of time don’t say that either much about movies with that also like how they use 80’s music soundtracks as well so in the end will say it great see this one again and if have not see it yet do so I think you will Iike it as much as Did as well.

Last Christmas (2019) Movie Review

My Review

On this Christmas Day figure I do a movie review this one called last Christmas from 2019 so here is my review below

Movie starts off with a girl singer boy she can sing then we see a woman who my guess was that little sleep with a guy then get kick out from a girl claiming to be his girlfriend talk of bad luck to start movie she works In Christmas store very beautiful one by the way but her boss is annoying one by the way then she see a guy looking at something in sky turns out it was a bird when she goes out to see and bird crap on her not best luck after talking to her boss she finds out she a late to to get a part for a show I think she try but failed seem like she meets Tom the bird watcher she takes her too secret garden which not many know about very interesting one there maybe this magic one or maybe not.

Christmas store she forgot to lock up was Rob and trash lucky she did not get fired so she got kick out from her pregnant friend and store trash not good but she see Tom again he seems to be around every time bad luck does happen and give her some advice could he be a Angel or could be the guy Kate is looking for they do seem to like each other they are build up a romantic thing between them but slow for some reason he only comes out at nights why I hope to find soon then one night he does not sure up so she look for him in homeless place to look for him but he does not find him but later on he again show up after she got in a fight with her family they do kiss once but again you don’t see him in day much though which is hard to understand why they don’t say much about it though much then at 1 hour and 14 mark he shows up in the daytime but she said tired of looking for him so they break up I guess Shame though hopefully they make up later on.

Kate is getting ready to put on a Christmas show for and she starts to make up for problems she cause early then go looking for him but he no where to be found she goes back to apartment where he took her and guy there told him former owner died and it was Tom who saved her life by giving his heart very touching moment but finally figure what connect between them about time it was great moment though good writing but if he died how could other see him unless they just see her not sure though anyway see Tom one last time I think as he said you have my heart and I will also be a part of you after that he disappears.

Then we see Christmas start and hats off Emilia Clarke here she can sure sing last Christmas very good never know she could sing wow indeed and well the movie ended with family celebrating Christmas and her sitting in secret garden looking up nice ending but wait.

There is another ending that was deleted it is on dvd which I have to say did not like much as first one this one was goofing though it was ok was happy they added it as bonus though

Have to say last Christmas was good Paul did a great job better then that remake in 2016 cough cough upset people it did but anyway when Tom show up around Kate many times he help her out though bad times and I was wonder why he only showing up around her a lot that ending did prove it as secret was out and it was a great twist but I wonder if her mom know not sure her mom was played by Emma Thompson was great see her again she been in so many roles and is great at acting but have to say Emilia at end touch my heart with that beautiful last Christmas of her singing so good this is indeed fits well for a Christmas movie watching this first time I did Enjoy it happy got too see and review on this Christmas so to close it out wishing everybody who reads this a very merry Christmas 🎄

Christmas twister (2016) Movie Review

My Review

Well found a Christmas movie but this one is about Tornadoes so sort of disaster movie here if they go that far so here my review of Christmas twister.

Well movie starts off with people pulling in gas station then weather alert goes off here comes the big Tornado and it is huge one and suck up cars one powerful storm sort of like twister vibes from that movie great start no one was hurt at start just flying cars and some not too bad looking Tornados indeed CGI effect there after that it went to drama with a guy and his wife and his son as he try to warn her about storm but she not buying it at all she will later trust me.

At 20 mins mark the tornado returns and will suck up a guy trying to fix his truck the weather guy try wife but her boss is a dummy and does not believe her will again later he will be wrong because now tornado are coming so far there been a few tornadoes scenes but nothing huge yet for 34 min mark they are building it up slow hopefully not too slow before it is too late they do show it getting close but does pick up as girl see guy she like get suck up at mall from this tornado they do get to basement lucky mall has one there because this deadly tornados are bad and they show aftermath indeed did a lot of damage for now scary that was they made it look like it over but not this is good tornado movie but does drag a little bit but will say effects are not bad for well a tv movie yes it was that so no wonder it was low budget movie so pretty much when you watch you think it over but it not as storm start building up this time around weather guy wife building where she works at her boss is going to to a report at plant where tornado now it is F6 which means very powerful tornado that is Logan her boss is report right behind it and he got hit with a train or something ouch they made it look scary with it coming right at him and now oh boy it heading to station.

Hopefully he can get there to save his wife who went and try to save her friend who pregnant by the way but there no way out now for them so up weather guy and daughter to find them before it too late as they running out of air they did find them as I guess tornado is over now and everybody is safe as movie let say movie has a happy ending to a ok movie.

Well say effects were good not much of big ended there as I was expecting but when low money movie you can tell they could not make it huge and go with easy non big ended but did end happy good way to end it then but I can tell why people are crap on it some now with this ended and lots of other stuff this was tv movie yes it had some plot holes not worst I see for disaster trust me I see worst though is worth checking will say sort of yes or no in the end did I like well not my favorite one but will say ok in the end.

I give Christmas twister (2016) or (2012) a rating of 6/10

Gone in 60 seconds (2000) Movie review

My Review

No Christmas movie review this one is movie I have not see in a long time and figure I give it a review it stars Nicolas cage and Angelina Jolie looking forward to watching this and reviewing this week for reviews.

Movie starts off

Story of this one interesting me on how one guy steals 60 hot cars in one night to save his brother who is trouble with a mob or gang do it or else he will die so let timer start from way it look them two don’t get a long much I am sure he not happy his brother has problems so he trying to help him out finding a way out of this problem but he not having much there was a time look like he was getting beat up but a big guy help him out so he safe for now.

So pretty much first 35 mins is drama drama when does he start stealing them cars well they sure do make you wait though but they start planning it pass 40 min mark let car stealing start hopefully still waiting for something I guess I forgot this had some drama in first 45 mins I bet they use a lot of cars in this one that for sure timer is going down so better hurry up though.

So one hour they start stealing cars good thing he has a team helping him out don’t blame him his brother life on line here so everything is going good but clock is going down quick as they now have 6 hours left so far not caught yet everything going well 2 hours left bad things start to happen one of guys get shot know writers will throw a bone here close to time being up with a 1 hour left and police are after him was pretty cool Chase with police lucky he got out first round but again they find him so here round 2 him vs police or cops 👮‍♀️ and he lucky again to get away he is getting good at it this it last car as well the 50th car so he gets the car to bad guy and says it over and he said yes but punch him so now his brother and his friend help him out so now it him against guy who put him in this mess hopefully cops can go after the bad guy now he ends up saving cop life and took out bad guy and cop let him good so now they are even at 1 and 1 so movie ends with his brother buying him a car that he liked and drive off with girl nice ending there.

Have to say this was not a bad movie I was amaze on how they steal 50 cars in 1 night but happy bad guy got what he deserved at end though have to say good action movie lots of close callls though acting was not bad I like Nicolas cage acting he is very good at roles like this for years he had made a lot of great action movies with him in it turns them into gold like this so In the end this indeed a must see movie gone in 60 seconds is indeed worth a see that is for sure.

Babes in toyland (1986) Movie Review

My Review

This Saturday night movie review features a movie of drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeves called babes in toyland this first knowing them 2 made a movie with each other that well did not know this one came out in 1986 way way before he did bill and Ted so should be something to see too me what can of role he has in this so let’s review start.

The movie starts off with a cartoon like intro so is this a cartoon probably not but I do find intro very nice 2 mins long is way too long then opening scene shows drew talking to her mom she look very young wonder if drew was 15 or 14 maybe so there is a snowstorm and power goes out what does she do walk in to the store to see where sister works and boy her sister boss is a pain in a butt rude he was too so they driving though the snow and everybody was singing and then Lisa falls out of car in a weird way and look like she going to hit a tree then she enters what to be toyland.

This is a musical look like they had a lot of fun making this one also listen to some of characters some of them are names from books for kids Jack and Jill and others boy they sure throw a lot of Easter eggs in this one from famous books as well nice touch there.

So story is from what I see is Barnaby taking over toyland and it up to Lisa her sister and Jack to stop him from taking over toyland so they go to see toy maker or master which turns out to mr. Miyagi Pat morita very odd choice but he does fit the part well.

This movie features more on cookies then toys story seem to force on jack stealing cookies and being framed by evil Barnaby who is played by Richard mulligan who from what I see is playing character very well in this one

One thing for sure never thought I see Pat sing in this one he does after telling Lisa she the key to save toyland bye believe in toys which she lost hope in so she starts to believe as toy soldiers come to life good they going to need as many to battle his ugly trolls and boy they are have to say it was pretty good battle here between the ones of toyland and barnaby in the end he pretty much lost and was vanished from toyland for good and after that you see wedding between Jack and Mary was a great moment but after that toymaster took her home and that how it ended a very good musical movie this was.

Have to say wow what a movie lots of fun great colors and costumes and acting was very good drew and Keanu was great in this one as well enjoyed them in it they very young too it was story was good I think it was market to kids more with musical thing but that ok see Pat as toymaster was funny he played the part very well is what I think too me this movie indeed worth checking out I would probably watch it again I would as well.

Club Paradise (1986) Movie Review

My Review

Next movie review for this weekend is called Club Paradise directed by great Harold Ramis and starring Robin Williams here is my review below.

Movie starts off with Robin as a firefighter never thought I see him in that role so little action at started where he goes in and try to save a dog he does but goof off too much and it blow up behind him he land safe though have to be careful I think after that he retire from being a fireman.

I don’t remember see this when I was young so figure I check this movie out and see if I like it as it has a nice lineup of acting in it any movie with Robin it should be good as well and it sounds great as well.

So Jack after being with a fireman moves to tropical island look like it film there very nice place look like so he goes where he try to help a friend who business might be shut down if they don’t pay the bill within 2 weeks so first he meets a singer who could help out Jack falls in love with her very quick though they only meet and falling in love all-ready wow that was quick pretty much it does as he hangs out with her more they show clips of them being together that nice but can she sing is question.

Then see tourists being fly in with not a good plane landed can of funny with the way as well little comedy there one of tourist is Rick moranis and few other faces you probably know Rick character name is Barry Nye funny is everybody who was staying there was told it was private resort but it is not so they have to share bathroom and shower that should be funny.

After watching 36 mins so far it is a little bit good comedy so far so some funny so far most funny one I see is woman take the shower and it came out fast and she had a heck of time hold on to anything well least she got clean lol.

Will say Eugene and Rick characters are funny both are trying to pick up woman but didn’t have much luck though as every time they do they have boyfriends hopefully by the end they will find some one for them.

Later Jack and his friend get caught breaking in ship with plans on what owner has plans for resort now they give him a small limit of time for them to get out.

Things start to go bad as woman are started to take off there tops so he comes up with a crazy idea of a nude beach or island with out breaking the rules funny part is kids steal people clothes so now they got to go find them will say that pretty funny and one lady gets attacked by a huge snake big one and also poor Larry is trap out at sea things are not looking good for Larry he did find them later on as they were at another resort must say funny there.

After a hour this is not bad but not too much comedy some funny moments not a whole lot but will say plot is interesting as well that for sure not finding too much though acting is not bad though.

The last 20 mins was pretty much them battle to keep the resort before bad guys take it over and turn into city pretty much Jack try to start. War against them and he did that well you have to end it with something here for a big ending some how everything turn out ok at end with Jack making a nice speech at end that saved it.

Well have to say this movie was not bad some good comedy spots but it needed to be a little bit more funny though otherwise characters will say was funny did like Robin acting in this it was good and rest put on some good comedy will say a few lame parts but otherwise this indeed a worth checking out if your a fan of Robin Williams as well.
