Been a while since I did reviews for movie and look like I have not review this one yet so here my review of splash from 1984 on this 4th of July.
Plot of the movie thoughts
The plot of the movie is about a boy from his childhood who meet a mermaid little does he know she is that her secret so they meet then after he jump in the water so years later he owns a company and then later falls off a boat and hits his head and is rescued bye a woman which turns out to be her who has legs on the ground if it get wet she turn in to a mermaid so years later he does not know that one who he falls in love with so she comes to big city think it is New York and learns English on tv I thought the plot was good love story with him falling in love with her and then finding out her secret at the end little bit of drama but everything works and will say that ending was beautiful as well could not end the movie on a great note there so plot was good will say the best no but good plot of story gets a 7/10 I go.
Acting
Lineup in this is amazing for acting look who you have Daryl Hannah who movies I like and grow up watching her acting in this one was great too she too made the movie fun playing this character as well so enjoy her in this one as well also tom hanks who was another one I grow up watching as well he was great in this one as well you could not have anyone better then tom in this one that for sure.. John candy was in this one and thought he was good too being sort of guy being a lady guy drop coins and well looking up women dress which was silly but thought he was funny as well have to say acting was good in this one for a 80’s cast in this one.
Funny or not
Well some good laughs in this some comedy but it felt like a drama one more then comedy there were some moments I laugh but felt like a romance movie then comedy will say comedy is still funny in this though.
Final thoughts
A very fun 80’s movie to watch if ypu like good comedy and some drama I thought this movie was directed by Ron Howard very well done I did enjoy this one and would watch it again indeed. That it for this movie review see you next time 👍🏼
