My Review

Think this my first movie on the tale of Jack the Giant or maybe not did see a few other versions of the movie this one could be one of first of many tales most of time the first versions are the best so let’s see if I think that or no.

Well have too say good intro of movie and it’s the princess Birthday and she was giving a house with a Creature small who can dance cool but later on that will come to backfired on them as story gets interesting as bad guy used to his power to control the monster by a powerful Sorcerer evil one the Creature look good for clay motion good effects as well for a old movie well lucky Jack was around to help her as he took out the Creature for now because they would not take him out quick maybe they want to force on Pendragon more he is indeed powerful one and some how wants princess bad see that one before later on his somehow using effects monsters effects look like they look good and creepy.

Later on after getting her we see his plan unfold change her princess is now a queen that look a lot different under a spell she look like a evil queen good Costume but she was a lot pretty the other way and not this look but will say interesting for story because now you wonder how they build Jack up though the rest of movie and wonder how they change the princess back and face this powerful evil guy also I wonder how she reaction when they meet again to see if she remembers him. Once he does.

Have to say this is indeed good writing and storytelling as well the movie was great for acting as well just a fun Adventure movie and magic as well like the way it use for this one Costumes look great as well and that last 15 mins was fun too the guy in bottle was funny as lots of close calls though but in the end everything had a happy ending would of I love to see king reaction at the end yes but no need too it ended very good I would probably indeed watch this one again very great movie for 1961.

My Review

This week review will be review of 17 min film yes short film in history What’s to do Think this Shirley temple film debut too not sure will have to see anyway here what I think of this short 1933 film.

Starts off with class for high school President this indeed very old film but look ok for film picture here in 2022 this film is Rogers just win the President but dad got a job and wants to move to Seattle so his victory might be cut short unless he can somehow try to get his father to stay.

For a 17:49 mins  this was not bad funny as well the way he try to get out from leaving was funny don’t blame him he has everything here so he fake being sick in a funny way as well and it worked out and that how it ended.

Very short but funny comedy movie I must say Shirley temple look cute and funny in this think she was cute and funny this lead her to be a star in many movies was this first film she was in not sure but if it was a very cool film debut she was indeed cute and funny in this one is indeed worth checking out just like the film this will be short film review do I wish it was little bit longer yes but this was 1933 and most was short films but I was happy to review another Shirley temple film.

My Review

This is my first John Wayne movie that I see and review so let’s see if I like this Western movie or not.

Not going to lie I am not much of a fan of western movies too much but I have heard John Wayne movies are good so figure since I am reviews old movies I will give him a chance and I must say they were right first I love the intro of music with Guitar playing at start with credits rolling good way to open it up movie as well. First of all robbers staff was can of silly and by the time they got there were quick gone with gold but later on got a little bit later not much then later on they head to Rio Lobo with a woman who needs help and Sheriff who seems grumpy in my view some say Jennifer acting is not good I thought she did good and see nothing wrong she was pretty as well so no problem there.

Now will say build up to end was little slow and boring a little bit not bad but ending battle payed off with a good gun fight and that Sheriff Got what he deserved because he was rude after the fight was over John Wayne walk away with lady who shot the bad guy at end as it say the end not a bad John Wayne movie wish it could of end the way it started would of been way to end it will say it was fun watching my very first John Wayne movie reviewing it as well I would probably watch it again sometime down the line as well.

My Review

Bing Crosby I know a lot for singing but not acting so this is my first movie I see him in this was indeed first for so do I like it or not well let’s see sure we.

Pass 1 min credits intro but that ok this was released in 1949 so happens a lot after that movie starts with the guy visiting the castle and acting like his been there many years everybody acting like ok then he goes to my guess owner who sick in bed so he seat down on the chair and story starts should be something we got a few mins of singing then a storm hits he fall off his horse and gets knock out and lands in year 528 now plot is getting more interesting on where it will this sort of has a lot of kid who fall down the hole and landed there too but this one came out long long time before that movie did that for sure back to movie he does meet a beautiful princess I would too if I hit my head just kidding I think she like him she was charm the moment she see him and wink as well I think there be romance moments between 2 later on which is ok as long as they keep story written good.

So now he in year 528 wonder what they do with not good news my guess they think he a witch from another world then later he gets out of and king set him free for and now call him the boss sort of like that name it like a king type name anyway half way though I am like this movie Costumes look very good also this has a nice musical tune as well good songs again bing Cosby proves why he is good at acting and singing in this one but can he fight later on he is challenged by Princess Fiancé he using some tricks I guess this upset the princess some oh well she get over it later on right see this before many times.

Have to say this story is written very good watching it is good storytelling that for sure for a old movie that for sure watching it got me Excited to see how it ends been a while since old movies done that watching them so how does last 10 mins go well yes he tells the rest of story and it goes back to where story started with a happy ending as well great way to end this story that way I would ended it.

No doubt love this movie Bing Cosby was great in this for singing and acting as well acting was good just a great story as well great musical and family movie as well hope today kids got to see because they will like it as well as I did check out this old classic if you have not because I am sure you like it as much as I did.

I give A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court (1949) a rating of 8/10 for great movie.

Miss Annie Rooney (1942) Movie Review

My Review

Now a teenager Shirley temple is getting ready for her teen drama acting which is ok she Shirley Temple she be ok on acting this is why I pick this movie because I am used to watching her movies when she little a lot but I do wonder how she will do in what her first movie where she fall In love I think so this why I find this movie interesting.

Have to say this is a very good movie with Shirley it force on her falling for a rich guy but only problem is she is poor some but when you meet the guy and they do he look like a guy with glasses so they crash into him and you can tell Joey does not like him at all first but he is a kind guy giving them to ride to party Joey shows up late and seems a little Jealous is there going to be a battle of romance for her in this probably but not sure maybe they just force on her falling in love with rich guy after see that made me think they will but so far 20 mins after that doesn’t look like they go that way and just force on story on her falling in love with rich guy that ok.

So the rich kid tells his parents later on and wants to invite her to his birthday but his parents say no because they didn’t think she would fit in with his friends so without them looking or when they are not in room he send invite to her though mail too me I have a feeling this could go in a good way or later on bad way at first she does have a few problems finding the dress and paying for it but a family member comes to the Rescue.

So later on she goes to party but things was not looking good at first but then later her dance moves turn the party into them like her some but then her father shows up and makes a fool of himself that where it went downhill for her felt sorry for her everything was going well unit that happen but hope in the end it does pay off.

Look like no they were going to get kick out of there apartment for not paying the rent then things went well after all and it ended in a good way.

Not a bad movie not a lot of romance some but not a lot as movie hype but the end prove it was some it was about her fitting in well with rich guy Marty and her father having problems but it was good story for that for and this indeed is another great Shirley temple movie that I like this is a cute movie as well like how it went good acting as well this year I have done 3 movies review that she star in they been good so far and I hope I get to do a few more movie reviews with her in in the future and this movie was again great.

Here comes Mr. Jordan (1941) Movie Review

My Review

This is a movie I pick out because I thought plot of movie sounds interesting and I figure I check out this 1941 movie.

This one is about a young boxer pass away too early it was error I guess so now Angel trying to help him replacement body so he can return to earth but who when he finds one you still see it’s him with same voice but when the people down stairs see him it like they can see him though the other guy very odd moment but just as things are going well the Angel tells him it time to move on to next one guess this one was not choice from Angel Joe try to fight him but Angel and joes leaves after body got shot so now it turn into a mystery on who shot him and where the body he left is now then Joe leaps into a boxer who was getting knock out and he wins he said he just went in his body to help this movie is interesting it reminds of quantum leap so how do I think rest of movie goes all the where it goes it ended ok but a odd way he was not Joe in the end I guess or was he they didn’t say I guess you had to guess your self but either way it ended in a good way.

Well that was good movie very odd plot but love how story goes with him trying to find a body for him after error and in the end turn out to be a great find but he was Joe most of time in the end he not I guess so that was can of odd again but ending was not bad turn out to be a great ended in my view Here comes Mr. Jordan is indeed a great movie with great acting as well from Robert as well this is a good movie to just watch on Sunday or weekend movie and it indeed has great comedy as well in the end this movie is indeed worth checking out if you like old classics.

The Violent Years (1956) movie review

My Review

I think this another Ed wood movie last movie I did not like let see if he got better or not with this doesn’t sound it but I will see film only 56 mins so if it not good happy it only 56 mins.

Not sure about Ed wood writing too much but after last 2 films and this one is very disturbing some and odd why find out below.

The plot is women dress up with masks or going around rape, steal and rob men maybe they are bored but that something I don’t call fun at all Paula is leader and most of movie is them rob, steal and even rape men yes you heard that right in the end they catch 2 are dead and Paula get Sentence to life in jail to me I figure that how it ended but will still had some mins left of then we see Paula here is pregnant but who father never did say and this short film ended with judge talking and that it this when I thought ok then.

Have to say there not too much in here but woman in gang was can of boring for a 56 mins of pointless writing from Ed Wood hope he give up after this because it wasn’t good and woman look like in 30’s or 20’s as well pretty bad and Disappointing ended as well I was happy it ended at 56 mins mark anymore would of been more painful because in this one there not much to find or like in this but bad writing and not good acting for a 50’s movie And I think I will have to give this one a low rating that for sure.
